Concert Band Update – May 29th 2021

With Covid Lockdowns continuing throughout the winter the Dundas Concert Band has not been able to come together as a group to practice. We have found a workable solution using a program called Jamulus which has allowed a small group to get together online from their homes to play.

As we open hopefully we look forward to continuing our outdoor park practices at the Dundas Driving Park.

Stay tuned for updates.

June 18th Covid-19 Update

Due to restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the city of Hamilton facilities and programs remain closed and we have been unable to conduct our regular rehearsals. With this in mind we regret that we will not be able to present our Summer Concert Series in the Dundas Driving Park on Tuesday evenings in July and August which has been a tradition for a number of years.

If the Provincial orders and City policies change we will submit a press release to the Dundas Star and update both our web site and the info line.

You may contact us at our email address which is info@dundasconcertband.com for more information

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you soon.

Summer Concert Series 2019

The Dundas Concert Band is once again presenting its series of free summer concerts in the Dundas Driving Park on Tuesday evenings, from July 2 to August 6 at 7:30 pm! Grab your family and friends, bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy music in the beautiful summer air.

The July 16th concert will have a guest appearance by the Dundas Pipes and Drums.

The July 23rd concert is sponsored by the Greensville Optimists and will feature an extra family-friendly program of popular songs and music from children’s movies. At 6:30 some members of the band will be on site to do activities and crafts, including a mini instrument “petting zoo” and making shakers that can be used during the show. Music will start at 7:30. Chorus Hamilton will join us for O Canada and will also do a special segment during this show. The rain date is July 30.

The July 30th concert will be our official annual fundraiser night, however the band will accept donations at any time. We write official tax receipts for donation amounts of $10 or more.

In case of severe summer weather the concert will be moved indoors to the Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre. The Community Centre is located at 10 Market St at the corner of King and Market in Dundas. The phone line (905-523-9500) will be updated by 6 pm on the day of the concert if the concert is going to be moved indoors.
